TIMELINE

04/2009: Guy saw Gal on pictures of mutual friends on Facebook and thought she was cute.
  • a week later: Guy decides to pursue Gal and sends a message on Facebook.
  • a couple weeks later: Gal drives down from BYU-Idaho and goes on a date with Guy in Salt Lake City, UT
  • From then, Guy and Gal would always text and call each other
05-06/2009: Guy asks Gal on more dates and asks her to be his girlfriend. They tried to see each other as much as possible since Gal lived in Idaho and Guy lived in Utah. Throughout this time, they've gone back to California where she is from and meets her family.

10/02/2009: Guy asks Gal to spend October Conference with his family. Being oblivious about everything, Guy surprises Gal by proposing to her in Bear Lake with a milkshake in a 40 degree weather LOL! It was so fun to be with his family and they caught the moment with pictures.

01/02/2010: Yes! 3 months later, Guy and Gal get married at the Salt Lake Temple. They had a great time spending our special day with friends and family. Even though the weather was rough, Gal's family from Utah came to make it even more special!

2010-2015: Guy and Gal spent their first few years going to school to become an RDH and an RN. It was a hard and tough road but made it through. During this time, they decided to also go on some adventures because why not!!!

Late 2015: Guy and Gal started talking about having a family and decides it's time to have a baby! Gal wasn't on birth control so they were excited!!!
  • 9/2015: Got puppy hungry so they decided to get an adorable American Eskimo named Nanu! He's so fluffy!!!

2016: Nothing yet.. so they decide to go on more vacations! Philippines, Hawaii, and Japan!

03/2017: Still nothing.. decided to visit the doctor. Doctor said that everything looks normal with blood work and HSG. Recommended to record Basal Temperature every morning. Also bought a house to be ready for babies!

04/2017: Doctor prescribes Clomid.

05/2017: Doctor prescribes another round of Clomid.

06/2017: Doctor finally recommends a Fertility Doctor. Made an appointment to do a baseline ultrasound. FD prescribes higher dosage of Clomid. Guy gets a sperm analysis and he's got some great swimmers! Also got blood work done to check genetic disorders, everything was great!

07/2017: Ultrasound showed a cyst possibly caused by Clomid. Did blood work and was told that the cyst was producing too much estrogen. Talked about IUI treatment and prescribed Femara.

08/2017: Ultrasound showed thin lining and one follicle. Not enough for IUI.
  • Got baby hungry so Gal begs Guy to get a puppy! It's like a baby but with fur and four legs haha!! They fell in love with a Mini Aussie at the Puppy Barn and named him Miko. He's so cute but he's a tiny monster! (Good for training I guess)
09/2017: Another round of Femara. Went to Hawaii for vacation and to conceive! Crossing fingers hoping that a good relaxation would help. Doctor suggests Gal should work less and to go to therapy.

10/2017: Ultrasound showed great lining and 3 follicles, 2 are healthy. Proceeded to do IUI. It was not a pleasant feeling. Heartbreaking news: IUI failed! It was tough and painful! As of now, still trying to conceive but decided to skip the next IUI treatment due to the cost and timing due to holidays coming up.

12/2017: We started looking into Foster Care after debating about it for so long. I was strongly against it but after a lot of
praying, I finally got my answers and felt strongly that we should do it. Met with a counselor that works for Utah Foster Care, got interviewed, and signed up for classes.

01/2018: We missed Orientation Day due to our schedules so our counselor just told us to go on the next class we hopped on the 3rd class of the series and started..

01-07/2018: We attended 5 out of the 8 required classes. After a heartbreaking incident happened in our family, we decided to hold off with the classes and fostering because we couldn't handle another loss of a child who we cared for and loved very much.

12/2018: Still coping and slowly trying to move on, the thought of trying for Foster Care lingered in our heads. However, we are feeling more strongly to either do an IVF treatment or adopt next year. To be continued....
